Teacher of MFL (Qualified / Unqualified looking to train) TPR / Unqualified TPR

Full Time / Part Time Position Available

Required for January 2019

Coppice Performing Arts School is part of the Central Learning Partnership Trust. CLPT is a highly, successful medium sized multi academy trust with schools in Wolverhampton and Rotherham. Our success to date has led to us being asked, by the RSC West Midlands, to sponsor other schools in our present location and to establish a presence in other areas in the region.

From September 2018, we are looking to appoint an exceptional classroom practitioner with a passion for teaching French to join our successful MFL department at Coppice Performing Arts School.  This post is suitable for an unqualified trainee, newly qualified teacher, as a full induction and support programme is provided during the NQT year. This post will also suit an experienced teacher wishing to further develop their career as professional development opportunities are available for an outstanding candidate.

Coppice Performing Arts School is a popular and oversubscribed Wolverhampton school, which borders Walsall and Staffordshire. In recent years our popularity has grown with parents in our local area and wider. The intake for Year 7 has increased to 180 and remains oversubscribed each year.  We currently have around 30 students with a statement of special educational needs and a number of students with physical disabilities.  At Coppice, we are proud of our fully inclusive ethos where all students are encouraged to participate in the full range of curricular and extra-curricular activities.

You will be an innovative and creative teacher with a student centred vision. You will have ambition, energy and drive to provide our students with exciting and challenging lessons in French.  In Key Stage 4 French is studied at GCSE.

You will be joining our school at an exciting time – Coppice was part of the Wolverhampton Phase 1 BSF programme. This has provided us with a massively refurbished and extended teaching facility including a variety of different learning areas, which enhances the exciting and innovative teaching and learning developments that departments can offer. All areas have benefited from significant ICT investment to provide state-of-the art resources for learning.  The MFL Faculty is housed in their fully refurbished suite within the Communications Zone, which includes specialist classrooms, interactive white boards in all learning spaces and dedicated laptop provision.

Coppice is an inclusive school and the successful candidate will be committed to providing learning to meet the needs of all abilities, so enabling each child to achieve their personal best.  In addition, you will be fully committed to the professional development of all staff within your area and in the wider school.

Your application should consist of a letter of not more than 2 sides of A4; outlining your experiences to date, and your strategies for successful, engaging and exciting learning in French which will enable you to contribute to the continued drive to raise standards at Coppice and provide students with the best possible opportunities for their future.

We are keen to attract outstanding teachers with high standards who will contribute to the continued improvement in attainment and standards at Coppice.
